hidden costs

mothafuck...

it seems i have to be prepared to reach the costs of SG$3700 for the laptop. it might have been SG$3000 for the student discount from tech, but after including the taxes and the other stuff, it comes down to pretty much the same price. i should have known, after spending like 3.5 months, you never pay the price that you see on the tag, you pay so much more, unlike here.

now the situation is, whether to get it here or there. they say they've got international warranty here, but im not convinced it'll work that smoothly. probably they'll have to see documents of where i got my warranty and stuff when i dump it for repairs or something like that and end up having to pay because they dont recognise the warranty and things like that. it has happened before.

hmmm, my dad seems to have opened up about the mac issue. i might be able to get a mac there. but by the time i get the interface and blah blah, it might be pretty costly. and there are still those educational softwares to consider.
