day spent talking

day started a bit slower compared to other days, but it sure was one hell of a long day.

met hazril about 1 plus at funan, scouted for laptops while he has lunch with his parents. HP are offering a pretty good deal, with options to upgrade to XP Pro and get the office at a relatively lower cost compared to other brands. but then again, after looking at everything, its either Dell or IBM. gotta wait til i hear from dad about the kind of quotes that were given to him at corporate price. but i still want apple. saw the software tt will allow me to run windows xp on the mac x OS panther, but then if u think about the overall cost, its going a lil too much, so i might not get it afterall.

yeah... then we walked to the esplanade, to talk about all things, which i always enjoy. we were probably sitting down there for like close to 3 hours.

as we were ready to get going, we saw couple of men getting ready for a soccer match at the padang, so since we had time, we decided to sit down and watch it. the first time i did that and it was quite fun. most of them should be between 40 to 55, all with beer bellies and grey hair. they didnt run much, but they were skilled, well, at least better than the most of us who play soccer. the council team would have gotten it bad if we played these guys. if im not wrong, one side was a team from the singapore cricket club, the other, im not sure, maybe a bank. when we left at half time, it was 1-1, but the goal that the bankers scored was professional class, volley from the edge of the right side of the box. amazing. after that, both hazril and i looked at eachother and was like, erm, where's the replay?

since we still had time, we used the remaining 30 minutes to walk all the way from the st. andrew's cathedral to somerset mrt station, where hazril was meeting up with kim. i left shortly after she came, and then talked for a while at tulip gardens before having dinner and heading to junwen's place for another talk.

so by the time i got back, it was 12. i watched the first half of bulgaria vs denmark before turning in.

tonight should be really fun. finally getting to meet the clique. winfrid told me quite a lot of people are coming, so i hope that everyone has fun. plus, there's soccer matches into the morning, so we should be very entertained.
