if the greek team were to dispel any suggestion that they performance so far in euro 2004 was unexpected, they have done it with the victory over the holders, france.
even i thought that france would win this tie comfortably, but the greeks held on tight and scored with a perfect set play goal.
i wonder what was the deal with henry and trezeguet though, they didnt have that spark at all!
but its a neat underdog victory story. i love surprises like this. if sweden gets through tonight, then we will be looking at the unlikeliest of the semi finals. and if czech wins, then i guess it will be a semi finals consisting of teams which never won the title before.
right now, the supposed top 5 in europe are gone; italy, germany, spain, england and now france.
lets hope tonight's match is as interesting.
