holland broke their curse in penalty kicks in a very tight match, but i really thought that sweden deserved to go through instead. they contained the dutch attack pretty well and even though they lacked in offence, i thought that their defense alone was worth a ticket to the semi finals.
but whats done is done, gotta look forward to a more interesting tie between portugal and holland. at least i predicted 2 out of the 4 semi finalists correctly.
something worrying took place yesterday. i cant disclose the details here, but i was taken aback, even though its not so serious. it just made me realize how things can happen all of a sudden and i am glad that it happened now and not any later, worse, when i was away in america. it would have been more scary then.
i seriously contemplated whether it was right for me to head to adeline's party, but in the end, i did, i dont think i had so much to worry about. met junwen and took the bus 105 to her place. since i didnt know where her place was, i was on the lookout, but the indication was pretty easy to spot. met couple of people i havent met for a while, like victor, maddie, utkarsh, zeeshan, sean, junli and of course the birthday girl adeline. it was a pretty neat gathering, obviously for small talks here and there.
but because of what happened earlier on, i could not fully enjoy. i mean how could i?
i felt an odd sense of uncomfort as i took the cab home.
