Ranieri, OUT!

another high profile sacking. chelsea manager claudio ranieri is sacked after 4 years. not because he was inefficient, like gerard houllier, but because his chairman simply didnt like him.

its sad, these russian ogliarchs think money can buy instant success. what ranieri achieved this season was more than chelsea fans could have asked for. runners up in both the premiership and the champions league. it was the highest they ever finished in the premiership in 49 years. sheesh, isnt winning the championship a little too much to ask?

jose mourinho is expected to take over. but would he bring instant success? we'll see next season, when more squad shuffling will take place since deco and continha, from porto, have expressed interest in joining their former manager at chelsea, should he be appointed.

they should reorganize the ownership policy of clubs like they do in the states, then everyone has a shot at the title in 10 or 20 year cycle. it brings more excitment and fair play to the game.
