maybe a shot at skipping calculus II

i received my FASET booklet, finally.

as i was reading through it, i found out that i might actually get a chance to skip calculus II too. i am entitled to skip calculus I, but im thinking of taking it anyway, since its been 6 months since i studied maths, i surely would have forgotten things, and it'll b a good way to brush it up. afterall, GPA is a serious thing, its not like what im used to in singapore where only the final exam result matters. now every test counts towards my grade, so im not gonna mess with it.

but then its written, once i'm exempted from calculus I, i might sit for another test that will make me skip calculus II. if i get that, that means i wont have to touch maths for the first year at all. gosh i wish i really had taken further maths now.

i'm already skipping physics for a year, im not sure if i should try this out. that means i'll have to start studying again. but is it really worth skipping all these courses? coz if i do, i'll really have nothing to do for a long time.. at least until the second semester of second year.

oh, i need to know how to solve linear algebra. forgot what that means, those who took Maths Syllabus C for 'A' Levels, did we cover that guys? i took a look at some sample questions, it includes that freaking compliment sign we saw while we were learning functions. and i have no idea how to solve matrix. maybe i shouldnt, maybe i should.

urgh.

i know for a fact, if you're really good in maths in the high school my brother goes to, you can study university maths as early at grade 11.and if u manage to get the credit that i have during grade 11, you get to study the second year maths, which is called Calculus III. my bro's high school has a program with univ. of illinois at urbana champaign. in fact, my brother is targeting to take Calculus III by senior year. he's already half way the battle, since he'll be taking Calculus AB next year.

now im really questioning why i didnt go ahead and change my JC so that i can take the 4 subjects that i want. had i gone to PJC, i would have sat for Further Maths, Maths C, Physics and Computing. but then if i start thinking like that, there are endless alternate realities i can come up with so i am just going to stop.

but it makes me excited for the time ahead, seriously. its already so fun now.

i finally got my tech shirt and bag that i bought online. im supposed to have another shirt, but that will arrive next week.

im such a tech already.
