dirty south

and so fantasia barrino wins. i guess it was pretty clear, but part of me also wished diana had won, even though i also think that fantasia deserved it better.

the stadium where diana's fans had gathered, its very near tech. i wonder how it would have been if i had enrolled in tech earlier, i would have been there. i hope someone from georgia does well for next season, then i will be able to join in the supporting and the celebrations.

tickets for atlanta idol concert r still abundant. but im not sure if i should go, coz right now im not sure if im going wit somebody or alone, since im not really expecting tech students to follow these things (they're notoriously nerdy) besides, i might wanna spend more time at my new home getting to meet new friends, etc.

but that being beside the point, i think fantasia's gonna rock. if her album's gonna be filled with gospel influenced songs, im pretty sure im gonna get it. but in terms of chart toppers, i think diana will be more pop, so i think she might find better success, im not sure. we've all seen what happened to clay aiken, ruben leaned too much to the R&B side, but clay had more success being pop.

anyway, there's been a lot of talk goin on about the south. as in southern people. lets break it down. kelly clarkson's from texas, which is considered south, but not quite. but still part of south anyway. justin guarani is from pennsylvania, but grew up in georgia or something, which is undoubtedly south. ruben's from alabama, definately south. clay and fantasia from north carolina, supposedly considered south, if not, very near the south borderline. and then there's diana, who's from georgia.

host ryan seacrest's from georgia, and judge randy jackson is from alabama too.

what do we see here? a lot of people from the south! and they're just themselves, nice and sincere. a lot has been said bout diana's cutesy-tootsy-ness as simon cowell said, but she just said its the southern thing.

it does seem the dirty south is indeed a nice place. im liking it better each day. i cant wait to get to atlanta and be part of the south, if most people are as what i expect them to be, im gonna like it very much.

and i just found out quite a lot of asian indians are in atlanta, about 35, 000+?? oh boy. and around 1000 bangladeshis. i guess i wouldnt be too detached from my origins huh.

dirty south, yea, dirty south. if i really like it, i might even consider staying there. the east, mainly boston and new york can be freezing in the winter, the west, mainly california, is earth quake prone. midwest area, chicago and detroit, cold, plus very prone to winds, floods and such. natural hazards all around. so far, ive not read much about the natural hazards in the dirty south, probably just hot and dry. like texas.

south might be a good place to consider settling down. be it in the country home of nashville in tennessee or something. but lets see how atlanta turns out to be.
