barca exodus

soon after barcelona secured second place in the spanish premera liga, manager frank rijkaard released 4 dutch players - patrick kluivert, phillip cocu, marc overmars and michael reiziger, all of them once the most saught after players in the world.

funny how things can change in just a few years.

now rumour goes about that newcastle is set to sweep at least one of these players, considering sir boddy robson was an ex barca manager as well as having a very successful stint in his days as manger of PSV in Holland.

that will remain to be seen, but just what is rijkaard thinking? they might be gettin old, but they cans still pack a lot of action.

pundits call it the era of brazilian football in barcelona, after god knows how long dutch players have ruled in barcelona. with ronaldinho lighting up nou camp this season, its interesting how the new team will get ready for next season..

rely solely on ronaldinho and javier saviola?

oh, they also got rid of one of the best goalies in the previous world cup, turkish international Rustu Recber.

just what is goig on.
