portugal wins 2-0 to russia, keeping the hosts' dreams alive and ending the russians' hopes for the knockout stages. greece works to a 1-1 draw with spain. greece just needs to draw against the russians to qualify. all eyes will be on 20th june when spain and portugal clashes, it could mean the end for one side. well, unless the russians shock the greeks with a win, which will leave them with 4 pts, and then portugal draws with spain to give them a better goal difference.

if the greeks lose by more than 2 goals and portugal wins against spain, my group A prediction will be realized. but heck.

liverpool appoints former valencia manager Rafael Benitez. its gonna be a very interesting season next year, with chelsea on overdrive with jose mourinho, man utd trying to reclaim the throne, liverpool reloading themselves and arsenal looking to maintain their run. newcastle wont fit into the top 4 battle, tt i am convinced.

and my italian love, fiorentina has shockingly won the first leg of the play offs that could get them back into the big time. 1-0 win at perugia gives them a v realistic chance of making it at their own turf come sunday. it's gonna be super interesting.
