as we gear up for the European Championships in Portugal, I thought I make some predictions for it.
Okay, I would very much like Portugal to win, in fact, its the team I'm backing this time round, not because they're the host nation, but this is one of the strongest side Portugal can field in the recent times. The graduates of the 1991 FIFA World Youth Champioships Winning Team nears retirement and this could be the last chance people like Figo, Jorge Costa, Joao Pinto and Rui Costa have to clinch a major international trophy. Coz honestly, I don't think they'll be able to play at their best for the next World Cup in 2006. This is the year.
